St. Thomas College of Teacher Education Mylacompu (STCM), owes its existence to God through the farsighted vision of His Excellency Mar George Punnakottil, Bishop Emeritus (1977 -2013) and late Rev. Fr. Joseph Puthenkulam and Rev. Fr. Kuriakose Kodakallil former secretaries of the Corporate Educational Agency, Diocese of Kothamangalam. His Excellency Rt. Rev. Dr. George Madathikandathil (Bishop, Eparchy of Kothamanglam) from 2013, adhering to the needs of the society by fostering the capabilities and potentialities of teacher trainees.
