St. Thomas College of Teacher Education college is one of the prestigious Self-finance Catholic Institutions in the heart of Thodupuzha locality - Kerala State, founded in the year 2005. It is affiliated to Mahatma Gandhi University and is recognized by National Council of Teacher Education. It is offering two-year B. Ed and M. Ed program with four semesters. The STCM aims at becoming the best teacher education institution in the Country by providing excellent curricular input, through innovative techniques. It also provides opportunity for developing teaching skills tactics and tools of teacher’ education. The role of the teacher may have changed but the teacher still remains a vital guide and leader in a student’s educational journey. Here at STCM try to Produce the future teachers for changing the society.

Teacher Education at STCM extends beyond the classroom. We emphasize the holistic development of our students by offering a range of extra-curricular activities, including sports, arts, and community service. These opportunities help our students develop leadership skills, teamwork, and a sense of social responsibility. We believe that holistic educators are better equipped to inspire and engage their students.

Father of our nation, Mahatma Gandhi has beautifully observed the meaning of Education as ‘the all-round drawing out of the best in child and man, in body, mind and spirit’. Here in this College, we are in that effort to bring out the best in our student-teachers, in all aspects, so that they are equipped to do the same when they become the real teachers later. All the activities are organized here as a team by the faculty to achieve this common goal. Thus, our college is scaling new heights in academic excellence and social commitment.
